Shops on Lake is a great walking experience. Small Boutique retail spaces, restaurants, as well as Macy's. Well-lit and nice to walk at night.
Neat little store near Huntington Escrow there. Plants in tiny cute pots for gifts. Better idea than flowers.
On street parking is limited and limited lot parking behind some stores on East side of Lake can be full at busy times. Some store hours are limited and not consistent across all businesses on the street. No valet parking like a higher end mall or shopping destination either. Fairly easy drive down from I-210 freeway.
Great shopping area! Lots of variety with stores, so you can get everything you need in 1 place. The Macy’s in particular is really old fashioned and nice— it feels fancier than other Macy’s around LA (and I suspect it’s one of the original department stores from the 40’s). There’s lots of dining available on all levels from casual to formal. Cute little gift shops and specialty stores are also littered throughout.
There are shops but it is more like little boutiques that have limited hours. The stores that are open late for things like Ross. It's hard to get the full experience of all the shops being open. Parking is good unless it's a major holiday. Avoid parking on the street if you can because the parking is heavily monitored and they have no mercy. There is a large variety of restaurants which are open quite frequently in the evenings.
